DataWindow Plug-in

Haven’t looked at this for a while. Notes go back to PB 6 or so, things may have changed

• Rich client view and printing
• No security issues on client side
• No database connection used
• Support for WinNT, Win95, Win 3.1, and Macintosh

Weakness

• Update not available. Changes can not be sent back to the client
• Changes can not be made without saving the file and then using a separate tool to read and edit.
• Reports are canned, not created on demand, no real time db connection
• DataWindow plug-in DLL must be installed on the client machine.
• No support for Rich Text presentation style
• No support for UNIX or other platforms.
